Journey to Marathon. Part 3

My first Marathon was again at Walt Disney World in Florida. This race had 27,000 people! We began the day at 4 AM and I can remember how freezing it was. By the end of the race, it was around 70 degrees.

The race at Disney was a very energizing experience! And of course my running buddies Deb, Denise and some other friends from Georgia joined in on the 6 hours of fun.

At the conclusion of this race my hips hurt and I had really bad toe blister. But, completing my first marathon gave me confidence and gave me the feeling that I could achieve anything! I wanted to continue feeling healthy and strong and some day I wanted to accomplish my goal of running the Boston Marathon.
